Both the Spanish and Greeks celebrate the "siesta" during the work day. We force our newborns and kindergarteners to take several of them throughout the day. They have cute and clever names like "cat," "disco," and "power". But can you tell us the last time you really enjoyed a good old fashioned nap? In our busy 9-5, take the kids to soccer practice, meet your friends for drinks, watch the latest episode of Rock of Love Bus lives we often neglect the simplest pleasure we can give ourselves: the nap. Here's a trivia question for you…what little known national holiday falls on today, January 4th? Why yes, you already saw today's theme and you know that today is National Trivia Day. The origins of this holiday appear to be unknown, but for our purposes, it doesn't matter so long as it gives us yet another reason to have a party. Tonight, gather your best buds 'round the Trivial Pursuit board or other trivia game which will test and highlight all their useless knowledge. If you have time to plan, you can organize your own game by having each guest bring a set of trivia questions to ask the group. Though if you go that route, we suggest you appoint a moderator to keep an eye out for repeat questions and of course, cheaters.

The miracle of Festivus was brought to us by Seinfeld. Is there any part of our life that show didn't make better? Traditionally celebrated on December 23rd, Festivus is a holiday for the rest of us that is still pure and far less commercial than that other big holiday this time of year.
